Project Overview

Development of a product that allows students to simultaneously check attendance and measure body temperature by tagging attendance equipment with a card. Due to COVID-19, we have to take a temperature measurement one by one, and at the same time, we would like to develop an IOT all-in-one product that allows parents to receive information such as whether their children arrived at the academy well or went home safely.

March 2020 will forever be remembered in history as a time when all the school, colleges and educational institutes across the world shut down. 

While no one was prepared for the pandemic that hit the world, the education system was one of the most disrupted sectors. 

According to a report by the United Nations, the closure of schools and other learning spaces impacted 94 percent of the world’s student population. It affected nearly 1.6 billion learners in more than 190 countries and all continents.

With the termination of COVID-19 and development of vaccine being unpredictable in current circumstances, it was unreasonable to postpone schools indefinitely. Thus, it was decided that upper middle and high school students as well as lower elementary students, including kindergarteners, would begin attending schools.

But the main pain point was to check the temperature of all the students one by one. It also took a lot of time to do this and a separate man was hired to do this work.

After understanding the user need and study market I made this graph.

Direction is to design a product that allows students to simultaneously check attendance and measure body temperature by tagging attendance equipment with a card.

Clients wants minimal design with pastel and vibrant color options. Product must be wall mounted. NFC card scan and temperature sense work simultaneously..
